Yamato Scale Dataweigh UK’s new Alpha series is to be unveiled at the event, running from 30th of September to the 2nd of October at the Birmingham NEC.

The Alpha Advance Series entry-level multihead weigher offers several improvements over previous models, such as enhanced ruggedness, resilience, accuracy and speed.

With new high frequency load cells that are designed for high speed weighing. Functionality is enhanced by the most recent version of the Alpha Advance series. It also boasts a modular actuator unit, incorporated with the high performance Yamato strain gauge load cells, driven by a stepper motor-driven system, which boost the ease of maintenance operations and repairs.

Continuing in this theme, the new Alpha Advance Series multihead weigher also features easy, tool-free, removable buckets and linear feeder pans. Additionally, with load cells withstanding up to a 150kg load, it provides a reliable weighing solution.

On top of enhanced performance and easy maintenance, the new Alpha Advance series also includes several food safety features, with both large radius corners (for easy cleaning and minimising downtime) and hygienic spring-less buckets (depending on the handled product). Its modular actuator units are encased by a stainless steel plate to ensure excellent sanitation.

Yamato Scale Dataweigh UK will be launching other new products at the PPMA event, including:

  • an IQF (individually quick-frozen) specialised Omega multihead weigher, optimised for the quick, responsive handling of frozen products
  • a new semi-automatic table-top Dataweigh (TSDW-205), which boasts reduced weighing loss, optimised efficiency and easy maintenance, all within a space-saving design.

Yamato’s new I Series Checkweigher will also be showcased, in combination with a metal detector solution. This ‘Combi system’ allows for shorter line length (allowing food factories to make the most of their space), and has IP67 designation, offering a high grade of protection as standard. The system is fully compliant with current super market codes of practice and includes reject bins with a digital lock, allowing restricted access.
