Following on from attending last year’s PPMA event, Yamato Scale Dataweigh UK plans on bringing a wide array of its market-leading checkweighers and multihead weighers to the PPMA 2015 to build on the awareness and overwhelming interest generated in 2014.

The Yamato stand attracted lots of visitors during the show last year, as their packaging and weighing solutions continue to grow in name and reputation across the UK and European markets, as well as further afield in Israel, South Africa and the Middle East.

“The PPMA event is a major fixture in our late year calendar,” said Andrea Spender, Yamato UK’s Commercial Operations Manager. “We always get a great deal of interest and support from our distributors and clients, which prospective customers are quick to pick up on.”

Yamato’s weighing machines come with considerable support and expertise, with installations tailored to customer’s products by their highly skilled engineers, who have considerable experience with packaging lines and ensuring product requirements align with automation processes.

“We’ve had customers bring products to the event and say ‘could you weigh this?’ It’s always interesting to encounter a product with unique challenges and challenge our engineers to think of a solution”, said Spencer.

“Our production improvements are borne from the constant feedback we get from our clients, and our line-up this year for PPMA reflects that feedback,” continued Spencer. “We are bringing weighing machines that we know will resonate with our customers, letting them see the gains and savings our machinery can deliver first hand.”

The new Alpha Advance Series multihead weigher also features easy, tool-free, removable buckets and linear feeder pans with load cells withstanding up to a 150kg load, it provides a reliable weighing solution at great value.

Yamato will also be bringing its hugely successful/popular Omega Frontier series to the event. This Multihead weigher is available in many configurations and can run at high speeds utilising single or multiple outlets.

A high performance check weigher will also be demonstrated; The I-Series check weigher is a resilient piece of weighing machinery that has applications across the food and non-food industries, with several bespoke options available to provide the most optimised solution for the handling and rapid weighing of products. Also available with metal detector integration, this ‘Combi system’ permits a shorter line length (allowing food factories to make the most of their space), and has an ingress protection rating of 67 (IP67), while also being fully compliant with supermarket codes of practice and weights and measures legislation.

As well as the Alpha Advance and I Series checkweighers, Yamato will also be demonstrating its Table Top Semi-Automatic weighing machines, perfect for products delicate or fragile in nature. This combination weighing machine allows for fixed weight packages of vegetables and meat, up to 30 packs per minute and for weighed packs to be to be manually checked.
