Secured financing from HSBC Innovation Banking supports accelerated expansion and optimises funding mix

Yazen, the leading digital obesity clinic offering medically supervised weight loss through a combination of lifestyle interventions and modern medications, has secured a €6.5 million credit facility from HSBC Innovation Banking. The financing marks a significant milestone for the company as it accelerates its growth and reinforces its financial flexibility.

2025 marked another record-breaking year for the digital healthcare provider Yazen. Revenue increased from approximately €15.7 million to nearly €29.4 million - a growth of 87 percent. At the same time, gross profit doubled to around €16.5 million.

The new financing will be used to support Yazen’s continued expansion across existing and new markets, optimise its funding mix, and strengthen its balance sheet while preserving shareholder value.

“Our collaboration with HSBC Innovation Banking enables us to accelerate key strategic initiatives,” said Fredrik Meurling, CEO of Yazen. “We have already been able to significantly scale up our marketing activities in January - a critical month for patient acquisition. This facility provides the flexibility to act faster and more forcefully in moments that matter.”

Yazen’s treatment model combines a digital care platform with a multidisciplinary team of doctors, health coaches, dietitians, psychologists, and physiotherapists. The approach integrates modern GLP-1 medications such as Ozempic and Wegovy with continuous, personalised lifestyle support - a model that has helped over 53,000 patients lose more than 640 metric tonnes in total.

Paula Burke, Director, Life Sciences and Healthcare, HSBC Innovation Banking UK: “HSBC Innovation Banking is delighted to support Yazen as it enters its next phase of growth. This financing underscores our commitment to partnering with innovative healthcare companies that can deliver meaningful impact, and we’re proud to partner with the experienced team at Yazen as they expand their differentiated weight-loss solutions to new markets.”

Yazen’s mission is to make high-quality obesity care accessible, effective, and dignified - helping patients reclaim their health and reduce the societal burden of chronic weight-related conditions.
