YIT has agreed to carry out the construction works for the wind farm in Sweden

YIT and Stavro Vind AB have signed an agreement for the construction of a new wind farm in Örnsköldsvik, Northern Sweden. The work began in July 2019 and the project is expected to be completed in summer 2021. The contract value is approximately EUR 35 million and it will be booked in the order backlog of the third quarter of the year.

The contract covers the Balance of Plant work of the new wind farm, namely the turbine foundations and lifting areas, as well as wind park’s internal roads and cabling.

This is YIT's first wind park contract in Sweden. In Finland, YIT has contracted about one hundred wind power foundations in, for example, Raahe, Kalajoki, Siikainen and Simo.
