YIT to build a new wastewater treatment plant in Sweden

YIT is building a new wastewater treatment plant in Funäsdalen, Northern Sweden. It is a part of a bigger wastewater system reconstructing project in the Municipality of Härjedalen that includes four new wastewater treatment plants, plus transmission lines to to Funäsdalen from Ramundberget, Bruksvallarna and Tänndalen. The cost of the whole entity is approximately 40 MEUR.  The value of YIT’s projects is over 12 million and it will be entered in order book for the first quarter of the year. 

The project is due to start in May 2021 and according to the schedule, it will be completed in 2023. 

“We are delighted that all the years of planning are now starting to pay off. A new treatment plant in Funäsdalen has been something that has waited us in the future, but now we aim to start the construction soon”, says Sofia Nisses, Water manager at Vatten & Miljöresurs.
