YIT to build the Pirkkala school campus

YIT and the Municipality of Pirkkala have signed a contract for the construction of a school campus. The scope of the project is nearly 20,000 m2, and the value of the contract is approximately EUR 43 million. The project will be entered in the order book for the second quarter of the year.

The Pirkkala school campus will have facilities for the pupils of the existing primary and secondary schools in the area as well as facilities for early childhood education. In addition, the premises will include youth and cultural facilities as well as a multifunctional space for meeting, education and cultural use. 

Construction will start next summer. The school and day-care centre buildings will be completed in summer 2024.
