YIT to construct an office building in Vilnius, Lithuania

YIT has signed a contract with East Capital Explorer AB (publ) to construct an office building in Vilnius, Lithuania. The value of the contract for YIT is around EUR 20 million and the project will be completed in the middle of 2018. 

The project will be constructed in the business centre of Vilnius. It will comprise approximately 13,000 square meters of leasable floor space, and the main tenant will be Swedbank who will lease just under 70% of the building. A platinum level LEED certificate will be applied for the building for environmental sustainability, and in case the project meets the requirements, it will be the first in Lithuania to receive LEED Platinum level.
