YLANG 23 DALLAS HOSTS JEWELRY DESIGNER GURHAN

Ylang 23 is hosting internationally known jewelry designer Gurhan, along with business partner Fiona Tilley on October 13 & 14. The appearance is in conjunction with a trunk show of their new holiday designs. Known for his work in 24 karat gold, Turkish born Gurhan produces his collection in Istanbul.

Gurhan's jewelry is known for its distinctive aesthetic, featuring the evidence that each piece is painstakingly made by hand. The hand hammering and natural imperfections, resulting from hand crafting, are regarded as Gurhan's fingerprints on his jewelry.

Designer Gurhan Orhan began his career as a jewelry designer at age 40, having “discovered” pure gold and, falling for its allure, deciding to master the craft of working in the pure metal. While Turkish by birth, Gurhan considers himself a citizen of the world, having lived in Greece, Switzerland, France and currently New York City. Further utilizing his eclectic assortment of skills, Gurhan has a passion for photography, which he has used to shoot his brand’s national advertising campaigns.
