Entries are now being taken for one of the country’s top cheese and dairy shows with a wide range of classes available. The Great Yorkshire Cheese and Dairy Show is a hugely popular section of the annual Great Yorkshire Show and draws entries from across the UK. Last year some 800 were received.

Dates for this year’s event are Tuesday 14 – Thursday 16 July with classes for ice cream, milk, butter, cream and yoghurt as well as for different types of cheese.  The deadline for entries is Friday 8 May. The Great Yorkshire Show is England’s premier agricultural event attracting around 130,000 visitors over the three days. It combines competitive classes, exciting displays and demonstrations, fashion shows, a food hall showcasing regional food and drink, and miles and miles of shopping offered by more than 1,000 trade stands. The venue is the Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate.
