Report this content

Arctic Gold initiates a drilling program for testing of bottom moraine and drill cutting at the Björklidberget gold target. The target has previously been shown with raised grades of gold, arsenic, silver and antimony in the moraine and in drill cuttings. The area is situated around 10 km from Björkdalgruvan where gold has been mined for 20 years.

The drilling program consisted of around 200 new sampling sites within a 2 sq km area and with a spacing of 50 meters between the sampling points and 100 m distance between the profiles. The bed rock in the area consists of igneous rocks with various types of alterations. Gold has previously been found in the Häbbersholm area through panning and in bottom moraine and drill cutting samples.

Björklidberget is situated around 4 km west of Nilsliden where Arctic Gold previously has encountered high grades of gold through core drilling.
