The juridical process between Brighter and its former development partner HotSwap (now renamed to Amundsen Management and Amundsen Engineering) is now concluded. The arbitrator determined, in accordance with Brighter’s claims against the company, that HotSwap has been careless in their efforts.

– We wouldn’t have carried out this process if we were not confident of our case, but it feels very good that the matter now also is finalized from a legal perspective. Now we can put this behind us and fully focus on the future and the upcoming launch of Actiste, says Truls Sjöstedt, Brighter’s CEO and founder.

In accordance with the ruling Brighter will receive a compensation of SEK 500 000 from HotSwap. Further information regarding this subject can be found in Brighter’s press release issued August 26, 2015 (Swedish only).

Simultaneously, Brighter pursued additional legal actions against HotSwap regarding a patent dispute. In June 2016 Brighter announced that the company secured all rights in the patent dispute and that Hotswap waives all claims to ownership.
