Ralf Nordén named permanent CEO of Dannemora Mineral and creates new organisational structure
Ralf Nordén has been confirmed as permanent President and Group CEO of Dannemora Mineral from June 15, 2013. Nordén is acting CEO since December 2012. Basing the Group CEO in Dannemora shows the company is determined to strengthen its focus on iron production in the Dannemora mining area.
“Following my first two months at the company I am cautiously optimistic about the road ahead. A great deal is already in place and production is running to plan. The teething problems we have had at the sorting plant have now been identified and we have a good action plan that I am convinced will enable us to overcome them,” says Ralf Nordén, President and Group CEO.
We are now restructuring the Group to clarify who does what and ensure we manage to fully focus on mining operations at Dannemora while also being able to continue to be an active force on the market when it comes to new projects. The previously dormant Dannemora Prospektering is being reactivated under the new name of Dannemora Iron Ore Development. All relevant exploration permits owned by the group will be transferred to the company. The Group CEO will take over as acting MD.
Dannemora Magnetit's organisational structure where Managing Director Pär Göting heads operational activities in Dannemora, has been strengthened and streamlined. By creating a new position as mining manager who, together with the sorting plant manager, will manage production above and below ground, we aim to clarify and improve lines of responsibility and cooperation between the mine and sorting plant.
The new mining manager, Gunnar Rådberg, joins from Bergteamet AB and has also worked at several Boliden mines. Rådberg has a ph lic in rock mechanics from Luleå University of Technology. Jan Lindsund, who has previously worked for Sandvik Coromant and LKAB, will continue as sorting plant manager.
Fredrik Ahlberg who joins from Bergteamet Raiseboring, has been appointed to the other newly established position of maintenance manager.
Group management of Dannemora Mineral AB continues to comprise Ralf Nordén, President and CEO, Niklas Kihl, CFO, Jan Vestlund, Head of Sales and Marketing, Pär Göting MD Dannemora Magnetit AB and Yvonne Gille, Head of Human Resources and Communications.
