ATLANTA—(June 3, 2013)—Egencia®, the business travel division of Expedia, Inc. (NASDAQ: EXPE), is hosting an industry event titled “Consumer-to-Business: The Modern Shift Facing Corporate America” on Wednesday, June 12 at 3 p.m. at the Georgian Terrace Hotel in Atlanta.

Egencia’s Mark Hollyhead, senior vice president of the Americas, will moderate the panel discussion featuring representatives from the Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE), Randstad Professionals, United Technologies Corp. and Duke Energy, who will share best practices and highlight how they are successfully bringing the consumer experience into their respective organizations.

“Consumer markets are emerging as the primary driver of technology innovation,” says Hollyhead. “Smart businesses are taking action and implementing change throughout the enterprise, from IT to finance—to HR and corporate travel, in order to meet employee expectations and support recruitment efforts.”

Event panelists include:

  • Greeley Koch, executive director of ACTE
  • Sarah Moon, procurement manager at Randstad Professionals
  • Michael W. Lyons, global travel manager at United Technologies Corp.
  • Christine Wyche, director of support services at Duke Energy

From next-generation mobile technology to exceptional customer service, to personalization and gamification, to rewards and recognition programs, attendees will walk away with a true understanding of how to modernize their business practices and delight employees—including modern business travelers and Millennials, now the country’s largest generation.

Event registration is required. The panel discussion runs from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a cocktail networking reception immediately following. To register: http://info.egencia.com/Atlanta2013_AtlantaRoadShowRegistration2013.html.
