Press release – Feb 25th, 2011:

In the last few years green refrigeration has claimed a growing share of the market in the 50–300 kW power range. Green & Cool has had a pioneering role in developing the technology, and is now taking it a step further.

Small supermarkets, petrol stations, offices and other businesses that do not need large-scale refrigeration systems have so far had to make do with old technology, based on refrigerants that have over 3,900 times the greenhouse effect of carbon dioxide.

At the big EuroShop retail fair in Düsseldorf, on 27 February–2 March 2011, Green & Cool will be launching a completely new series of compact refrigeration units that have integrated gas coolers/condensers and use environmentally friendly carbon dioxide as a refrigerant. The units are designed for outdoor installation, on a roof for example, and in most cases installation will be simpler and require less piping.

“There’s an enormous market for compact units of this type, and we’re convinced that there will be tremendous interest in our new technology, which has much lower environmental impact and a lower lifetime cost”, says Micael Antonsson, Technical Director, Green &...
