IFS’s end-to-end solution to empower 550 users at Felleskjøpet Rogaland Agder to manage complex processes using a single business platform

IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announces that the Norwegian agricultural cooperative Felleskjøpet Rogaland Agder has decided to upgrade to IFS Applications™ 9 to increase business effectiveness and supply chain transparency.

Headquartered in Stavanger, Norway, Felleskjøpet Rogaland Agder (FKRA) produces and sells feed, fertilizer and seed to its members, the Norwegian farmers. The organization also supplies tractors, agricultural equipment, and engineering services to the agricultural sector and has 19 stores and 10 workshops throughout Norway. FKRA’s shops also supply equipment to owners of home gardens and pets.

FKRA has been using IFS Applications since 1999 to support mission-critical processes such as manufacturing and finance, as well as in-store sales, where IFS Applications is directly integrated with the Point-of-Sale solution from IFS’s retail partner Centric. The solution enables efficient store management with advanced forecasting and automatic replenishment in stores and workshops.

To drive additional efficiencies and enhance transparency across the organization, the company will implement IFS Applications 9. This will bring new capabilities such as embedded CRM and improved usability with the role-based and configurable IFS Lobby user interface. FKRA has also chosen to add new modules for retail and warehousing.

“Our organization has a complex ecosystem as we manage processes all the way from production to stores and service workshops,” said Knut Svendsen, IT Manager at Felleskjøpet RA. “IFS Applications is a highly configurable industry solution which enables us to seamlessly connect our complex business processes into one single, integrated solution. This makes it easy for us to streamline our organization, creating a more transparent and effective supply chain. The upgrade to IFS Applications 9 will also give our staff enhanced usability with the role-based IFS Lobby interface and embedded CRM.”

IFS Scandinavia’s CEO Glenn Arnesen added: “We are both pleased and proud that Felleskjøpet RA has selected to upgrade to IFS Applications 9. When a company with such high demands on managing a complex supply chain chooses IFS, it is a true testament to our abilities to streamline and integrate a business effectively using IFS Applications”.
