New Extended Personal Sound (XPS) Concepts Include Boosted Bass and “Bedroom Studio”

TINTON FALLS, N.J. – May 16, 2012 – Hercules, the expert audio manufacturer with more than 20 years of know-how, is proud to announce the launch of two newcomers in the world of computer speakers. Available mid-July 2012, the Hercules XPS 2.1 BASSBOOST is designed for those who love big sound and bass, and the Hercules XPS 2.0 60 DJ SET is a multimedia monitoring system designed for budding DJs, and will be available as soon as June 2012.

Hercules XPS 2.1 BASSBOOST: Intense bass
For those who like their bass extra loud and full, Hercules has designed a highly affordable solution, priced at just $69.99 (suggested retail price).

With its wooden subwoofer, whose “big sound” look and feel is accentuated by way of a protective grill featuring a very distinctive design, Hercules XPS 2.1 BASSBOOST delivers intense bass and a good level of output power. Thanks to their size, the satellites allow for optimal sound development, and a seamless transition between the satellites and the subwoofer. The volume of air inside of the satellites ensures full, vibrant and powerful sound.

The intensity of its bass response makes XPS 2.1 BASSBOOST the perfect system for video games, electronic music, movies and multimedia applications. Also noteworthy is its trendy, solid design, featuring metallic grills inspired by PA system speakers. The satellites can also be wall-mounted, and can even lie flat on their sides, like stage monitor speakers. The handy volume and bass control knobs are easily accessible on the right satellite speaker, which also features a stereo headphones connector and a 3.5 mm line input. Hercules XPS 2.1 BASSBOOST will be available from mid-July 2012.

Specs:
RMS power: 32 W (2 x 8 W + 16 W) / Peak power: 64 W

Hercules XPS 2.0 60 DJ SET: The “Bedroom Studio” concept
With the XPS 2.0 60 DJ SET, Hercules offers DJ mixing fans a way to easily equip their first “bedroom studio.” With this speaker system, users can practice, prepare their first mixes, study and select music tracks, and even monitor and verify effects – all at their leisure.

XPS 2.0 60 DJ SET features two compact satellites, crafted entirely of wood, ensuring quality sound. Each satellite includes a tweeter and a 3-inch woofer with a Kevlar membrane, for good bass response. Both satellites also feature dual ports on their front face, useful for gauging bass frequencies.

In terms of connectors, XPS 2.0 60 DJ SET includes an RCA input, a 3.5 mm line input, and a stereo headphones output. All of the controls are practical and easily accessible, on the front of the right satellite speaker: volume, bass and treble.

Hercules XPS 2.0 60 DJ SET will be available by the end of June 2012, at a suggested retail price of $129.99.
