Miris obtains ETL certification for HMA

Report this content

Miris has obtained the ETL Listed Mark for its Human Milk Analyzer (HMA). This certification is a requirement to comply with the new updated IEC standards for medical devices in Europe and also in accordance with UL and CSA in North America.

The ETL certification mark proves that the Human Milk Analyzer is compliant according to the new updated International Electrotechnical Commission standards (IEC) for medical devices in Europe. These are widely accepted product safety standards for electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility, and the certification has been issued through the independent testing laboratory Intertek. The certification also includes that the instrument meets requirements according to equivalent standards of the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) in USA, and the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) in Canada.

With the ETL Listed Mark the Miris Human Milk Analyzer is now certified for a higher safety class than previously and meets all requirements for industrial and academic applications in Europe and in North America. This also indicates to distributors, partners and customers that Miris Human Milk Analyzer is meeting international standards for required safety and essential performance of medical electrical equipment.

“Securing the ETL-certification for Miris Human Milk Analyzer is yet another quality goal achieved for our product portfolio where the goal is to provide quality equipment to ensure the best possible quality for individual nutrition based on human milk for preterm infants” says Camilla Myhre Sandberg, CEO.
