It is very gratifying that our NEXAMITE®-technology is an important contributor to a new and improved product for our customer.
As a leading producer of high performance foam, we see an opportunity to create a whole new generation of foam where we can use Nexam Chemicals technology.
This is, so far, the largest order received by Nexam Chemical and it clearly indicates that we are going to establish ourselves in one of the current customer’s production plants.
This will allow for a whole new generation of PET-foam on the market.
The offering strengthens our financial position and is an important step in financing the continued growth and expansion.
Nexam Chemical´s technology, together with our solid expertise in foam production, creates opportunities for a new generation of foam on the, for us, very interesting market.
Our PET foam containing Nexam Chemical´s product provides conditions for a new generation of PET foam on the market.
We see that our technology is on its way to create the conditions for a new generation of polyester foam.
The order is yet another confirmation that our products work within the large market for polyethylene pipes.
We are confident that our NEXIMID® range of products can create similar value to more customers.
” The number of customers that test our products in pilot or full scale increased during the quarter in all focus areas.”
“A new order from a former customer within the pharmaceutical industry is a confirmation that our production plant in Scotland can deliver with high quality.”
We are currently changing our organization to create a team that is passionate about customers and to generate sales.
I am very happy, satisfied and proud that Lars Öhrn has chosen to join us. Lars’ knowledge and insight of how to generate value for the customer and the in-depth knowledge of applications, all necessities to be a credible partner, contributes greatly to drive our efforts in the right direction.
The business model I envision for the further development of the company is based on customer intimacy.
In practice this means that Nexam Chemical´s crosslinking technology can be used in an even wider range of plastics and in an increased number of processes, which today has restrictions in e.g. getting to the right activation temperature. In short the catalysis technology enables an increased market potential and improved competitiveness for our crosslinking technology.
Our production process allows for industrial production of EBPA at a lower cost, providing the basis for EBPA to be included in more commercial applications in the future.
Both the end customers and material developers will benefit from NEXAMITE®PBO’s strong performance in many application areas
Our new product, NEXIMID® MHT-R, creates vital benefits for both composite manufacturers and end users. It allows automation with higher levels of productivity and quality control instead of today’s labour intensive process, which leads to huge savings of time and cost for manufacturers. The end customers will benefit from a higher level of sustainability and lower costs compared to the metal-based applications in use today, due to lower weight and avoiding metal fatigue among other things
Although this specific application has a limited economic value, it is a further confirmation that Nexam Chemicals' products are being established in the field of electronics
This will be Nexam Chemical’s first granted patent in Japan. The market for nylons is relatively large in Japan, which makes us judge this patent as valuable for the company going forward.
It is a break-through to come out on the global market with this type of high-temperature resin. That it is produced in Europe will also provide market advantages. The resin has, in our opinion, the potential to become a standard material suited for large production runs, in areas such as civil aviation and industrial applications. Patent applications relating to the resin has been filed.
We developed the PETA molecule since many of our potential customers requested the type of functionality that the molecule offers. PETA can definitely help our customers develop better and cheaper solutions. We are first in the world with this product and it's exciting to see that the patent application we filed a couple of years back now also has resulted in a patent in USA. This gives Nexam Chemical a 20-year protection against competitors in this market
This is a very important patent for Nexam Chemical as MEPA and other Nexam Chemical products based on MEPA have such a wide range of applications and address the majority of the world's engineering plastics. With patent protection in Europe and the US Nexam Chemical has exclusive rights to two of the most important markets in the world.
The granted patent gives us future protection for Nexam Chemical’s technology and products in this area. We are talking about a market for very high performance plastics with high prices. Nexam Chemical is currently working in projects with several leading producers of these plastics.
The volumes agreed for Armacell to retain its market exclusivity is equivalent to Nexam Chemical sales of about 10 million in 2014, 60 million in 2015 and SEK 120 million in 2016, based on current prices.
A lot of positive things have happened in Nexam Chemical during the last few years and I see a bright future. Changing venue to NASDAQ OMX Stockholm Small Cap is a natural step to take and becomes an additional seal of quality for the company.
Here is another patent on products for new future applications containing Nexam Chemical’s crosslinkers. That this application is filed by DuPont, a well-known and innovative global company, is a sign of strength for Nexam Chemical’s technology and products
Increasingly we find out that new patents, based on Nexam Chemical’s new crosslinkers, are being granted around the world. This is another sign of strength for Nexam Chemical and proof that our technology is spreading across the world...
“Polyimide materials are used in the most demanding and high-performance composites that are available today. The total global market for polyimides is about 60 000 tons annually and is growing continuously. The application areas for these composites are within e.g. aerospace and electronics (both consumer and industrial applications).”
This is a very important patent for Nexam as MEPA and other Nexam products based on MEPA have such a wide range of applications and address the majority of the world's engineering plastics. Thanks to MEPA’s curing profile it is easier to use Nexam’s technology for crosslinking, which enables increased usage and sales of Nexam’s products. The patent gives Nexam a 20-year protection against competitors.
We are encouraged to read that our products are disseminated in the scientific community. These types of studies enhance the credibility of Nexam technology and we believe that in the long term this will provide for a larger market share for our cross-linking products...
In practice this means that Nexam’s crosslinking technology can be used in even more plastics and in an increased number of processes, which today has restrictions in e.g. getting to the right activation temperature. In short the catalysis technology enables an increased market potential and improved competitiveness for our crosslinking technology
It is a breakthrough to offer this kind of high-temp resin to the European market. Thanks to Rolls Royce's participation, the resin has the potential to become a standard material, suitable for large production campaigns. Patent protection has been applied for regarding the resin
Entering into this cooperation agreement is a natural step for us to take after years of working together. It will strengthen the possibilities for Nexam to launch its NEXIMID crosslinkers into a market segment that is the home-turf for our partner
We are very proud of the fact that the systems and procedures that have been put in place by the team at our production unit Nexam St Andrews have resulted in these accreditations. This will benefit both us and our customers going forward
Although this application has a limited economic value, it is a milestone for Nexam as it is our first commercial application within Electronics.
he production unit in Scotland shall primarily be used for scaling-up or producing special grades of Nexam’s unique crosslinkers. In order to utilize existing production capacity and further develop our knowledge about organic synthesis, we will offer contract manufacturing services to a limited number of external partners. We believe that the order we now have accepted, may be the starting point for a long term relationship that benefits both Nexam as well as our external partner
The granted patent gives us future protection for Nexam’s technology and products in polycarbonates and in a number of polymer alloys where polycarbonates are included. We are talking about a very large plastic market, although we are not currently actively working in any customer projects. This patent is part of our patent strategy to secure the protection in as large a number of plastics as possible. In the future, we intend to initiate a number of customer projects in the area or alternatively license it out.
Our mission is to improve the properties of conventional plastics. We make ordinary plastics better. The goal is to be able to offer cost-effective alternatives to metals and other more advanced and more expensive materials. Underlying our technology and products is an extensive research and development program. An important part of our work is to continuously and pro-actively protect the results of our work. The granted patent, which gives Nexam protection of its technology in nylon, will therefore be of great importance to us in the coming commercialization phase.
