Since the March 2015 launch, Studybuddy has helped over 300 customers and employed 200 students from London's top universities.

In March 2015 the leading Swedish tutoring company Studybuddy launched in the UK. The company is redefining the traditional tuition approach by exclusively employing current university students from London’s top universities as its “Study Buddies”.

“I’m very proud to say that we have already employed 200 of the brightest minds in London, typically from Imperial, King’s, UCL and LSE. Together with our tutors, we have been able to support well over 300 customers towards increased motivation and better results. Our tuition model has been received even better than expected on the London market and we are of course also very happy to be able to provide a meaningful part-time job for all of our Study Buddies” says Managing Director Max Henrikson.

While the model of using university students as tutors is a new phenomenon in London, it has been the go-to approach on the Swedish market for several years. Studybuddy started as a school project by four engineering students in Stockholm and the company has since its start grown massively and supported over 7,000 families in the last 11 years.

“Our long term vision is to cover all major European countries, and the UK is of course a major milestone in achieving our goal. Having now successfully launched in the UK, a tutoring market that is fundamentally different than the Swedish one, we are of course even more confident and motivated to continue the pursuit of our vision” says Stockholm based Group CEO, Jonas Larsson.
