Viking Line hired the catamaran Viking FSTR to run the Helsinki–Tallinn route this summer and up until the 22nd of October. However, due to technical reasons Viking FSTR will be taken out of commission a few days earlier than originally scheduled.

This summer, Viking Line significantly increased its capacity on the popular Helsinki–Tallinn route from April to October by hiring the catamaran Viking FSTR, which is capable of travelling the distance in less than two hours. Due to technical challenges faced over the last few days, Viking Line has decided to take the vessel out of commission a few days earlier than planned, on the 17th of October.

Customers who have already booked a trip on Viking FSTR will be notified of cancellations and provided with an opportunity to transfer their trip onto Viking XPRS or to receive a refund. Viking XPRS continues to cruise normally twice a day. Sunday 22.10 Viking XPRS will do an extra trip from Tallinn at 10.30 pm, which will arrive in Helsinki at 00.45 am.
