AB Svensk Exportkredit (SEK) today presents the third edition of the Export credit trends survey. We have asked several different questions to more than 200 companies. Read the entire Export credit trends survey at www.sek.se.

Highlights in the survey:

  • The overall export credit index has risen from 55 in December last year to 58, reflecting a more favorable financial situation for companies and an improved market climate.
  • We see a change in trend from previous surveys related to the krona. In this survey almost 40 percent of the companies view the current value of the krona being favorable compared with only 6 percent in December.
  • It is the smaller companies that are more optimistic about the opportunities for job creation in Sweden. The index has increased to 68 from 61. In contrast, large companies indicate a greater likelihood of cutbacks with an index just below 50.
  • Just under 40 percent of companies impose regular sustainability requirements in export sales. But among those companies that do, we are seeing a sharp rise in the percentage of companies planning to further tighten these requirements over the coming years.
