Truck deliveries in May 2013

Deliveries from the Volvo Group’s truck operations in May 2013 amounted to 16,732 vehicles. This was a decrease of 9% compared with the year-earlier month.

Volvo

In May 9,689 Volvo trucks were delivered, an increase of 4% compared with the same month last year.

In Europe 3,556 vehicles were delivered during May, down 11% compared with May 2012. An extensive product renewal is under way with five new truck models; Volvo FH, Volvo FM, Volvo FMX, Volvo FE and Volvo FL. All the new models include innovations and features that make the driver’s job easier and more efficient.

May deliveries in North America increased 10% to 2,416 vehicles in comparison with the same period in 2012.  

Deliveries for South America increased 30% in May to 2,178 commercial vehicles compared with May 2012. May deliveries in Brazil increased 40% to 1,750 trucks compared with May 2012.

Mack

Deliveries for Mack in May totaled 2,133 vehicles, a 21% decrease compared with May 2012.

Renault Trucks

In May, 3,414 Renault trucks were delivered, a decrease of 25% compared with May 2012.

Deliveries for Europe declined by 22% in May to 2,721vehicles. In Western Europe, deliveries were down by 17%.

On June 12, Renault Trucks announced a complete renewal of its product portfolio with the introduction of the new long distance T range and the new C and K ranges of construction trucks as well as the new D range of distribution trucks.
