Thurlow Nunn Distrigo Transforms Logistics and Saves Costs with ABAX Locator
Thurlow Nunn Distrigo, a major distributor of motor parts for Stellantis brands including Peugeot, Citroen, and Vauxhall, has significantly improved their logistics processes and saved thousands of pounds, thanks to the ABAX Locator system.
With a fleet of 20 delivery vans, the company was struggling to track and recover roll cages used for secure part transportation, leading to losses and operational inefficiencies.
Carl Smith, Warehouse and Logistics Manager at Thurlow Nunn Distrigo, highlighted the challenge: “Before the roll cages, we had problems with parts going missing. The roll cages fixed that, but then it became about how to ensure we got those cages back.”
Each roll cage, valued at £150, was at risk of being misplaced, leading to extra replacement costs and potential delays in deliveries. Thurlow Nunn needed a solution to monitor these assets in real time and prevent further losses.
