Håkan Sörman proposed as new Chairman and Mikael Helmerson as a new member of the Board of Directors of AcadeMedia
The Nomination Committee of AcadeMedia will propose that Håkan Sörman, member of AcadeMedia’s Board since 2017, shall be elected as new Chairman and Mikael Helmerson as a new member of the Board at AcadeMedia’s Annual General Meeting on 30 November 2022. Anders Bülow has announced that he declines re-election. The Nomination Committee’s complete proposal to the AGM 2022 will be presented in the notice to attend the AGM.
Mikael Helmerson has long experience, including from his time as CEO of Roxtec AB, of leading and developing growth companies characterized by global operations, complex business and successively increasing service content. Helmerson has also shown a good ability to work with organizational development and to strengthen the company's brand. These experiences can be of great value for AcadeMedia's Board.
Mikael Helmerson is currently the vice President of Mellby Gård AB’s industrial holdings and, inter alia, member of the Board of StudentConsulting Group AB.

Mikael Helmerson
Mikael Helmerson was born in 1972 and has a Master of Science degree in business administration and finance from the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg and has completed executive management training at the Stockholm School of Economics and International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Switzerland.
Previously, Helmerson was the CEO of Roxtec AB (2013-2020) and Nord-Lock Group AB (2010-2013) and has been the Chairman and member of the Board of a number of companies. Currently, Helmerson is the Chairman of the Board of Feralco Group AB and member of the Board of StudentConsulting Group AB and Roxtec AB.
