AcadeMedia plans for more openings in Germany - approaching the target of 10,000 pre-school places

AcadeMedia has decided to open 600 additional preschool places in Germany. This means that AcadeMedia now has approved new openings corresponding to around 2,000 preschool places in regions where demand is high. Once the preschools are open, AcadeMedia will have more than 10’000 preschool places. Today, AcadeMedia has 98 preschools with more than 8,000 preschool places in Germany. AcadeMedia announces preliminary financial results for the fourth quarter 2023/2024

AcadeMedia’s net sales increased by about 15 percent in the fourth quarter, of which about 7 percent was organic, and are anticipated to be SEK 4,850 million (4,199). The average number of children and students, excluding the Adult Education Segment, increased by 10.6 percent to 109,510 (98,988). AcadeMedia announces the result of the company’s voluntary redemption program. The redemption program comprised a total of not more than 4,223,502 ordinary shares in AcadeMedia. Upon completion of the application period, a total of 4,095,867 ordinary shares have been submitted for redemption, corresponding to an acceptance level of approximately 97 per cent. AcadeMedia has today been informed that Mellby Gård and Akelius Foundation have agreed to cancel the agreement according to which Akelius Foundation would acquire Mellby Gård's entire holding in AcadeMedia. Mellby Gård, who is the largest owner of AcadeMedia since 2016, has announced that it will sell its shares to the Akelius Foundation (trough Akelius Apartments Ltd). The Akelius Foundation will thus become the new main owner of AcadeMedia when the relevant authorities have approved the transaction.
