Atenit and Nelté deploy Wireless Broadband Network in Lithuania

Swedish wireless broadband operator ATENIT has signed a deal with UAB Nelté in Lithuania, to deploy an access network for wireless and mobile broadband coverage in Lithuania. The network will be the first wireless broadband network in the Baltic Sea region besides the network currently deployed by Atenit in Sweden. Nelté is granted the nationwide license in Lithuania to deploy and operate wireless access networks in the 3,5 GHz frequency range.The network will be based on the UMTS TDD standard with technology developed by IPWireless. Atenit deploys Wireless Access Network in the Kalmar region of Sweden

Swedish network operator ATENIT has signed a deal with twelve municipalities in the region of Kalmar, Sweden, to deploy a wireless broadband access network to give full geographical broadband coverage in the region. The Kalmar region has more than 170,000 inhabitants.The network will be based on the UMTS TDD standard with technology developed by IPWireless.
