Access acquires Production Modelling adding more functionality to Supply Chain Solutions
Access Group (Access) has added planning and scheduling functionality to its already popular Access SupplyChain solution with the acquisition of Production Modelling Ltd. Production Modelling's Orchestrate software offers planning, and scheduling to UK companies. It's already a preferred partner of Access with many customers benefitting from the integration between Orchestrate and Access SupplyChain.
Chris Bayne, CEO for Access, said, "Having Orchestrate as part of our product portfolio adds functionality to our manufacturing solutions. We've been working with the team for a while now and have been very impressed with what they offer, having seen it in action I'm delighted that Orchestrate is now part of our Supply Chain Solutions."
Orchestrate offers planning and scheduling to manufacturing companies, which is proven to deliver better on time delivery, reduced WIP values and better utilisation of labour. "Our increased footprint gives us more opportunity to provide our customers with a solution that delivers all of their manufacturing requirements," continued Chris.
Orchestrate brings improved functionality to the Access product portfolio, including a graphical, visual plan of the entire supply chain process. Chris added, "Orchestrate is capable of automatically constructing a plan and understanding the business constraints including people, machines, tools and parts, allowing our customer to better schedule their resources."
Mike Straiton, director of Production Modelling, who will join the sales team at Access, added, "We've been working with Access as a preferred supplier for some time now, and our software integrates seamlessly with theirs. Our customers will benefit from great software that will quickly offer a return on investment."
Orchestrate will join up with Access' manufacturing solution Access SupplyChain as well as financial software Access Dimensions.
Chris concluded, "We can provide our new and existing customers with a single integrated manufacturing solution that meets all their requirements. By using Access' portfolio of manufacturing solutions UK manufacturers can get all the functionality they need from just one supplier. Our software is proven to help businesses grow and become more profitable."
