Access Group’s Adam Brown recognised in prestigious financial director survey
Access Group’s Adam Brown has been named as one of the top 20 hottest financial directors in the TMT sector. Adam achieved the recognition at the recent Hot 20 FDs in TMT competition awards ceremony, hosted by accountants and business advisers BDO LLP.
A panel of judges including industry leaders from TMT and financial services firms, as well as experts from the media, included Adam in its top 20, in recognition of his talents and achievements in the last 12 months.
Access appointed Adam Brown as its chief financial officer in September 2011, charging him with being instrumental in driving revenue growth, both organic and through M&A, following a £50m MBO backed by Lyceum Capital in early 2011.
Adam commented, “I’m delighted to have been recognised in the awards. I’m a firm believer that our customers’ success will invariably lead to our own success. Investing in commercially viable areas that bring true value to the customer will have a positive impact on the bottom line and drive profits as a result.”
Brown has over 20 years’ experience in the technology sector. He has previously held CFO roles in Avid Technology, a video and editing software specialist to the global broadcasting industry, Sibelius Software, which develops music software used by professional musicians, teachers and students and Workshare, the leading document comparison software provider for the legal sector. In 2012, Brown played an instrumental role in launching Access’s flagship product, aCloud, which recently gained recognition for the company as a finalist in the National Business Awards, Innovation category.
In 2012 Brown oversaw the completion and integration of four acquisitions that have led to a payback period of less than 12 months on the acquisition price. In 2013 he managed the completion and integration of a further six acquisitions that have all delivered to plan. Adam has developed a strong reputation as a strategist and has been influential in forging solid relationships with Access’ business partners.
