Enhanced talent management provides a 3D view of the workforce
First fully configurable mobile solution provides HR and self-service access on the move
Onboarding ensures continual engagement with new recruits

Colchester UK, 12 June 2014 – Leading business software provider Access Group is to unveil a major new release of SelectHR at HRSS on June 18th and 19th at Olympia London. The latest version is the most significant update since Access first launched its browser-based HR offering at the show in 2008.

The new, modern look and feel, combined with business intelligence, onboarding and enhanced talent management is aimed at helping HR professionals to gain a 3D view of their workforce providing better insight for talent analysis and fostering greater staff engagement. SelectHR now offers the first fully configurable mobile application, allowing organisations to fine tune the out-of-the-box functions to suit their needs. A new volunteer module developed for the not-for-profit sector further enhances the strength of Access’ NFP finance, CRM and HR offering.

Dee Caporali, divisional director for HCM at Access Group, commented, “Our HR clients carry great responsibility, not only for day-to-day management of the HR function but also in their duty to understand their talent and advise the Board. Our aim with Access SelectHR is to provide them with the best tools to support them in their role.

“Talent analytics is particularly important given the cost of recruiting new staff. Often organisations don’t realise the level of expertise that already exists within the business - not just role specific but also outside interests and skills such as speaking foreign languages,” said Dee. “Access SelectHR aims to change all of that, particularly with the new business intelligence tools and talent management features.”

Accessible to all organisations regardless of size, SelectHR has the ability to accurately match career ambitions with business requirements which can help to reduce staff turnover as well as making it easy to track skills, goals and competences. Equally, making the right impression with new recruits prior to them joining the organisation will get the employer-employee relationship off to a good start. SelectHR’s on-boarding solution encourages interaction between new recruits and their colleagues prior to starting as well as providing information on the onboarding process, the organisation, policy documentation and access to update personal details.

“The onboarding stage is a critical point in the process between the applicant accepting the position and starting in their new role,” said Dee. “This is particularly important in, for example, the legal sector as it could be many months before someone joins. During that time, circumstances can change or another competing organisation could provide them with a more attractive offer. Keeping communication flowing and making the new recruit feel welcome, not only helps to avoid this, it fosters good relations and makes them feel part of the company early on.

SelectHR provides organisations with a single people management system, enabling them to manage the whole employee lifecycle as well as access, analyse, share and submit information, including holidays and sickness, regardless of time, location or device. The new offerings, which also incorporate news feeds and slideshow management, are part of Access’ continual investment across the whole software portfolio. “We are constantly expanding our solutions and we have a solid roadmap to ensure we remain relevant to our clients. It’s our commitment to help support HR teams and the organisations that they serve,” concluded Dee.

Access will be on stand H140 at the HRSS show.
