CSL DualCom set for growth with Access solution

Colchester, UK – 21 October 2013 - CSL DualCom, the UK’s leading supplier of dual signalling intruder alarms, is to implement a new financial and self-service system from Access Group, specialists in business management software solutions. The new Access Dimensions & FocalPoint system will help to support future growth and streamline financial reporting and expense management within the business.

Paul Hardwick, Financial Controller for CSL DualCom announced, “We’re forecast to grow considerably in the next few years, expanding both outside of the security industry and outside of the UK into vertical sectors throughout Europe.

“Having used Access before, it was the functionality and ability to extend the software solution in the future that led us to our decision,” said Paul. “We needed a system that could keep pace with our growth plans, that offered detailed financial reporting and a self-service system for staff expenses and purchase orders. The Access solution will improve business processes, saving a great deal of time and effort.”

Paul continued, “Utilising Access Dimensions we’re looking to automate much of our monthly financial reporting, thus substantially reducing our reporting times.” Using Access Dimensions CSL will be able to better manage its financials, automating data to produce real time statistics for analysis, with the ability to drill down into the detail. And the benefits do not stop there. “With Access FocalPoint we found a system that can multifunction, being able to manage staff expenses more accurately, streamline the process of purchase orders, and more efficiently allowing instant access to KPIs,” explains Paul.

With planned growth in mind, CSL will be able to define and analyse those results to aid better decision-making. The firm is also considering how it might further utilise the new system in future. “We may look at timesheets for research and development purposes,” added Paul. “At the moment this is a manual task; to streamline this process online through FocalPoint would be very valuable, particularly in terms of claiming back tax credits.”
