Colchester, UK – 23 January 2013 – Award winning communications agency drpgroup (Eventia Awards 2012) are looking forward to improved expense management and the ability to monitor project budgets with an investment in Access Dimensions & FocalPoint. The professional services solution from Access Group (Access) will be rolled out to over 100 staff across four offices for the management of events, budgets, and projects.

April Pearson-Myatt, financial and commercial director at drpgroup, said, “We’re replacing our old accounts based system with a full-business solution, our remote workers and office-based staff will all have access to FocalPoint to better manage projects.”

The drpgroup considered a number of systems before selecting Access, including event specific software. “With the other systems we looked at we would have required more than one solution, with separate software for the back-office function and project management, Access did everything we wanted with just one solution, and it gives our project managers the ability to pull the metrics they require themselves.”

Access Dimensions & FocalPoint will streamline processes and eradicate duplication across the group, bringing in an improved authorisation procedure for expense management. April continued, “A lot of our manual processes, including expenses, will now be fully automated. In addition to this we’ll be able to monitor profitability and version control, keeping up-to-date on project budgets as they build, ensuring we stick to client budgets.” The workflow forms will provide an audit trail for budget control, budget history and sign off, offering full visibility of purchasing and expenses.

“Overall Access Dimensions & FocalPoint will give us better visibility and traceability of projects and their associated budgets by providing real-time reliable information,” concluded April.

The drpgroup recently won five awards including Gold in the Agency of the Year category at the Eventia awards, which reward and recognise the leading projects, suppliers and agencies in the events industry. The group has also won over 25 industry and business words spanning the group’s services in video, digital media and design and print as well as recognising their environmental and CSR activities.  The company has embarked on an ambitious period of investment totalling £3.6 million pounds including over £2.5 million being invested in a brand-new, purpose built production facility in the midlands. The rest of the investment includes continued training and development for the group’s 120 strong team and comprehensive investment in improving infrastructure, of which the Access Dimensions & Focal point project is a part.
