Business software provider Access Group has released the latest addition to its thankQ CRM solution (“thankQ 8.6”), enabling fundraising for projects and sponsorship causes. The new release features come as standard, one of the reasons why over 90% of customers choose to stay with thankQ when renewing their CRM solution - in fact, from the original 10 thankQ customers, eight are still actively using the software.

“Our focus has been on designing a solution that is very flexible and capable of handling charitable projects as varied as the sponsorship of children or animals, the construction or refurbishment of a building or the creation of a well,” said Rob Barr, divisional director of NFP at Access Group.

“A cause can be matched to a single donor or larger projects can be crowdfunded, an area which is growing as a popular method for raising funds. The functionality is integrated throughout thankQ; it provides clear visibility of income against donor and includes numerous template letters and reports to help the teams manage their activity and outcomes.”

thankQ, which is used by many organisations in the education sector, can now also import pupil records from iSAMS. This makes it very simple to upload and update student and parent information, enabling targeted fundraising campaigns to be easily created.

These new additions to thankQ form part of the continuously expanding software portfolio provided by Access Group’s dedicated NFP division, in addition to ensuring that it complies with the latest legislation. This includes changes to the tax relief for charitable donations in the Republic of Ireland for donations received since 1st January 2013.

“Organisations can reclaim tax on these donations, using either the CHY3 or CHY4 tax certificates, at a blended rate of 31%, by submitting their claim via the revenues portal. With thankQ we’ve made it straightforward for organisations to manage their donations much more effectively and it is part of our overall efforts to ensure our portfolio remains relevant to our marketplace,” concluded Rob.
