Sightsavers, a not for profit organisation that works in more than 30 developing countries is set to work with Access Group to utilise its human resources software SelectHR. The charity has chosen the system to reflect the level of professionalism that it delivers at across the globe.

Elissa Pette, Director of Human Resources and Operational Development explains, “We’re upgrading to SelectHR to give us the functionality required to support our global systems.”

Elissa comments, “We work in more than 30 developing countries and so we were looking for a system that works for all the offices. We have a great deal of confidence in Access’ SelectHR, as we are able to work collectively from one point of information.” With SelectHR it cuts out the HR ‘middle man’ and empowers staff to manage their own information.

Elissa continues, “We plan on using SelectHR as a strategic point of data for reporting. Starting with enabling line managers, now we have the ability to access data and reports, without relying on additional staff to approve the process, this will save a great deal of time for the HR team.”

By utilizing the self-service aspect of SelectHR, employee records can be updated by staff through the self-service module, reducing the administrative strain that would have previously been weighted on by the HR department.

She mentions, “We’ve also taken on the SelectHR recruitment module to shortlist prospects during recruitment processes, again this lets us save time whilst increasing productivity.”

Elissa clarifies, “It’s a different way of working and now staff can have improved access to more information – for greater visibility and control. This can really enhance our efficiency and productivity organisation-wide.”

Rob Barr, NFP Divisional Director for Access explains, “We’re incredibly excited that our software will have a positive impact on the development of Sightsavers’ mission, by connecting operations and resources across continents.”
