Storage UK improves efficiency with Access Delta
Storage UK, the 3rd party logistics (3PL) business who serves a wide range of public and private sector clients, has invested in a new warehouse management system (WMS) from Access Group
Colchester, UK – 18 March 2013 – Storage UK, the 3rd party logistics (3PL) business who serves a wide range of public and private sector clients, has invested in a new warehouse management system (WMS) from Access Group (Access). The new system will integrate with an online portal allowing Storage UK’s clients the opportunity to track and monitor stock.
Derek Cooper, MD at Storage UK, said, “We were looking to improve our IT setup in terms of warehouse accessibility of stock, while also offering our customers an online facility to view their own stock levels, and Access Delta offered all that.”
Storage UK undertook an extensive audit into WMS systems, and after speaking to colleagues in the industry decided on Access Delta. “The feedback we got was Delta is an easy to understand and operative system which was well regarded throughout the industry,” continued Derek.
The new WMS solution from Access will replace numerous bespoke systems which will bring significant administration cost savings. “Our customers will be able to cut out their admin costs by using the online portal which replaces emails and antiquated systems streamlining the whole process.
“Access Delta will open up further channels with online customers, which is a growth market for us, and provide accurate stock keeping and visibility of other financial information,” concluded Derek.
Access acquired Delta Software in July 2012 as part of its strategy to invest in, and expand its software portfolio to provide a complete suite of integrated business management solutions.
