Aceve strengthens European footprint – becomes market leader in the Benelux with acquisitions of Syntess and KPD
STOCKHOLM – 3rd of December 2025. Aceve announces the acquisitions of Syntess in the Netherlands and KPD in Belgium, two leading software providers for installation, construction and technical service companies. Together, the acquisitions strengthen Aceve’s presence across Northern Europe and establish the company as the market leader in both the Nordic and Benelux regions.
“We’re pleased to welcome both Syntess and KPD to Aceve and to integrate their strong solutions into our modern SaaS platform,” says Claus Thorsgaard, CEO of Aceve. “These acquisitions give us a strong presence in the Netherlands and Belgium and further strengthen our position across the installer and construction segments. They support our goal of building Europe’s leading AI-driven digital platform for the skilled trades and construction industry.”
Syntess brings long-standing expertise in ERP and field service software for installation companies in the Netherlands. Syntess has a long history of supporting installation companies through digital tools that improve planning, operations, and customer management. The company serves a broad range of installation firms across the Netherlands and has built a strong position through long-term customer relationships and deep industry understanding.
“For more than three decades, Syntess has focused on helping installation companies work smarter through sector-specific software,” says Johan Arensman, CEO of Syntess. “Joining Aceve marks an important next step for our team and our customers, supported by a shared commitment to the industry.”
KPD is a well-established software provider for the Belgian construction sector, serving contractors and developers with digital tools that support key stages of the project lifecycle. The company has built a solid presence in the enterprise segment and plays an important role in helping construction firms improve efficiency and project control.
“KPD has built its strong position by working closely with construction companies and supporting their daily operations,” says Niels Decraene, CEO of KPD. “Becoming part of Aceve allows us to strengthen our roadmap and support customers with broader capabilities, and we see strong alignment in how we work with the industry.”
“Acquiring Syntess and KPD further cements Aceve’s position as a leading Northern European player and unlocks new value creation opportunities through integration and cross-sell,” says Ali Farahani, Partner within EQT Private Equity’s Advisory Team. “Both companies have developed strong offerings rooted in deep industry expertise, and we’re excited to support the next phase of their growth journey.”
These acquisitions reinforce Aceve’s position as a truly Northern European player, with a growing share of revenue outside the Nordics, and together with the previous acquisition of Brink Software, the additions of Syntess and KPD further strengthen Aceve’s market presence in the Benelux, representing a combined regional revenue base of more than 50 million euro and supporting Aceve’s ambition to build a leading European platform for the skilled trades and construction industry. Aceve acquired Syntess from Nedvest and KPD from Green Park Investment Partners. Aceve was advised by White & Case and Axeco.
