ACTIC Group has given notice of temporary layoff to employees in Norway

Actics vision is "A healthier society through training" and the safety of employees and members is the company's highest priority. Actic follows the authorities' recommendations and closed down all training facilities in Norway on March 12, due to COVID-19.   Due to the decision by the Norwegian authorities, Actic Norway will give notice of temporary lay-off to approximately 350 employees starting today. The majority of these are part-time employees.   Actic follows the authorities' recommendations and training facilities in Sweden, Germany and Austria are therefore not affected

ACTIC Group has decided to temporarily close down all sites i Norway

Non-cash goodwill impairment in the holding company structure

Following an impairment test of the company’s goodwill when closing the third quarter, the Board of Actic made a decision, based on a recommendation by the company’s auditors, to recognise an impairment loss for the company’s goodwill and intangible fixed assets. The total impairment loss of approximately SEK 280 million generated a non-recurring effect in the third quarter that impacted earnings and total assets, but not cash flow. The amount corresponds to most of the goodwill on the balance sheet in the holding company structure and is not derived from subsequent acquisitions. “

Restructuring costs are charged to Q2 - net sales in line with the previous year

Net sales during the second quarter are expected to be in line with the previous year. Sales of new memberships have developed positively in recent months in all markets, while the churn has been stable. Actic has been in an adjustment process since the turn of the year, which in the second quarter resulted in additional costs totaling almost SEK 12 million, mainly regarding organisational changes and central support costs.
