Addnode Group acquires software company Canella and strengthens its position in welfare and pharmacy solutions
Stockholm, May 18, 2017. Addnode Group has acquired the Swedish software company Canella, which develops solutions for the Nordic pharmacy and welfare market. The company had net sales of SEK 19 M in 2016.
Canella delivers solutions based on the proprietary software Candos to pharmacists and county councils. Candos is approved by the Swedish eHealth Agency and is well integrated with systems used in pharmacy and healthcare.
"I see very nice development opportunities with the acquisition of Canella. We acquire unique pharmaceutical skills and a modern software that will strengthen our offer to our customer base in the welfare area. I also expect that we will be able to offer Canella's customers in the pharmacy market a completely different range of services in the future, "said Andreas Wikholm, Business Area Manager for Addnode Group Process Management.
"We add value to Addnode Group's extensive experience in the welfare and pharmacy market. As part of the Group, we have a great opportunity to quickly and flexibly help our customers grow and develop their business, "says Simonette Rahmberg, CEO of Canella.
Completion will take place on June 1, 2017 and Canella will be part of Addnode Group's Process Management business area. In connection with the acquisition, Addnode Group's Norwegian subsidiary Pharmasolutions AS will also change its name to Canella AS.
