The launch of AddSecure’s private safety service meets market demand and is a logical next step for the business having provided the service to Finnish municipalities for over 25 years.

AddSecure, a leading European provider of secure IoT connectivity solutions, today announced the launch of a new safety services brand targeted at the Finnish consumer market. With more than half a million people aged 75 and above living at home in Finland, there is increasing demand for smart and reliable care solutions for this rapidly growing group.

The new brand, Turvallisesti Kotona by AddSecure (which translates to Safe at home), helps seniors feel safe living independently at home whilst giving caring relatives peace of mind. The subscription service, which is available online, provides seniors with a safety device that has a direct line to an Alarm Receiving Center operated by AddSecure, where trained personnel can assist.

Human care combined with reliable and safe technology

“It's easy to call for help with a safety phone, we answer the alarm around the clock every day of the year. If, for example, there is a fall at home, a trained safety helper will assist. Our easy-to-use service combines human care with reliable and safe technology ensuring safety of the user 24 hours a day”, says Ståle Moe, President of Smart Care at AddSecure.

AddSecure has extensive experience within smart care having delivered safety services to Finnish municipalities for more than 25 years. Bringing the service directly to consumers is a logical next step as there is a great demand for additional alternatives from caring relatives.

Supports the well-being of the elderly and society as a whole

AddSecure’s new service is a response to society's limited resources and helps the elderly maintain their autonomy at home, giving concerned relatives the knowledge, that assistance is never too far away.

“Supporting people to live independently at home for longer is vital not only for their own well-being, but also for the society as a whole. By taking advantage of connected technology, society can respond better to the increased need for elderly care and help to alleviate the care crisis considerably. This is perfectly in line with AddSecure’s vision of a safer and smarter world and something I am very proud of,” says Stefan Albertsson, CEO of AddSecure.

The safety service can be ordered at turvallisestikotona.fi  and will only be available for the Finnish market.
