AddSecure further strengthens its position through acquisition in Finland

AddSecure to acquire the alarm communications business of Prevent 360 to further strengthen its position as a leading European player in the secure critical communications sector.

Last month AddSecure announced that its target is to become the leading company in its field in Europe when acquiring Swedish Contal Security. Now AddSecure is strengthening its Nordic presence further by acquiring the alarm communication technologies business of Finnish Prevent 360, majority-owned by private equity firm Intera.

This part of Prevent 360 provides a range of alarm transmission and monitoring services and has a substantial share of the market for transmission of fire alarms in Finland. Under the agreement, AddSecure and Prevent 360 will also enter into a strategic partnership providing services to each other.

AddSecure will continue with the well-established service concept that Prevent 360 has developed. As part of the transaction, the company announced that the current local Prevent 360 team will become part of the AddSecure organisation and that a new entity, AddSecure Oy, is being established.

The acquisition of Prevent 360 marks AddSecure’s third move in corporate acquisitions in 2017, after Contal Security in Sweden and Chiron Security Communications in the UK. According to Stefan Albertsson, corporate acquisitions are important steps as AddSecure is growing to become a leading European player in the secure critical communications sector.
