AddSecure launches new 4G telematics dashcam to increase driver safety
The new all-in-one device is targeted at fleets of light commercial vehicles (LCV) looking for a low-cost solution to track their vehicles, mitigate risk and improve driver safety.
AddSecure, a leading European provider of premium IoT solutions with a focus on secure critical communications and data, have today announced the launch of their new all-in-one 4G camera and telematics device, the AddSecure Dashcam.
Aimed at LCV fleets, this state-of-the-art camera telematics device offers live GPS tracking, HD video footage and detailed driver behaviour data for just £25 per month, no upfront, based on a 12-month minimum contract.
Andrew Overton, VP of AddSecure Smart Transport UK, commented: “Our new all-in-one device will be a game changer for LCV fleets looking for a low-cost solution to track their fleet, mitigate risk and improve driver safety.”
“For years we have helped to protect some of the UK’s largest HGV fleets, providing fully integrated multi-camera solutions with fantastic results in terms of accident rate reductions and insurance savings. With this new dashcam, we are keen to extend these benefits to the LCV market and ensure our customers can achieve the same road safety standards as their HGV peers.”
With a 150-degree viewing angle and 1080p resolution, the AddSecure Dashcam captures the entire road ahead, providing indisputable evidential footage in event of an incident. Not only can this exonerate drivers from false allegations but ensures no more paying out for 50/50 claims. By providing insurance providers with FNOL (First Notification Of Loss) also speeds up the claims process for any accidents where the driver is at fault, minimising the cost of the final claim.
For Waterlogic UK, the camera has proven its worth within 12 months of implementation, with accident rates already down by over 50% and several instances where the camera has exonerated their drivers from false insurance claims.
Lee Shropshire, UK Fleet Manager at Waterlogic UK, explained: “The cameras have transformed our fleet safety standards within a matter of months. Having undergone rapid expansion of the fleet in a relatively short amount of time, we were suffering from high accident rates and consequently high insurance premiums.”
“Installing the cameras gave our drivers immediate accountability of their driving behaviour. And when paired with the bespoke driver retraining, we were able to offer using the camera data and footage, we saw a dramatic improvement in our accident rates, insurance costs and overall fleet safety standards.”
With the AddSecure 4G Dashcam, vehicle location and driver performance data, along with footage of any incidents that have occurred are fully accessible via one, simple-to-use, web-based platform. Thanks to 4G cloud-based technology, detected incidents are instantly sent to the telematics platform, and available to view, analyse, and download immediately. And for those that require a more “mobile” solution, a mobile app is available for on-the-go viewing and tracking purposes.
