Center Valley, PA (March 20, 2013) – Aesculap, Inc. is pleased to announce the availability of its Hi-Line XXS Minimally Invasive Microsurgical handpiece. The system offers a broader field of use, in-procedure maneuverability and an improved visibility of the tip of the burr. The exclusive design of the ergonomic Hi-Line XXS handpiece resembles a bayonet-shaped microsurgical instrument and the curved handpiece shaft has a distal diameter of only 3.6 mm, providing a clear view of the surgical site.
The detachable curved and straight shafts can be rotated into 8 different positions, allowing for unparalleled surgical site access and compatibility with a full range of MIS burrs.
With a high speed capability of 85,000 – 100,000 rpm, the Hi-Line XXS needs zero tools for assembly and can be used with the Aesculap microspeed™ uni high speed electric motor or the HiLAN®XS air motor.
