Aesculap Implant Systems Features Spondylolisthesis Reduction in New Surgical Animation

Report this content

The animation presents a controlled and precise reduction of a Grade II L5-S1 Spondylolisthesis using Aesculap Implant Systems’ S4® SRI

Aesculap Implant Systems released a new surgical animation that presents the design and function of the S4® Spondylolisthesis Reduction Instrumentation (SRI). The S4 SRI, a complement of the Aesculap S4 pedicle screw system, is the only spondylolisthesis reduction instrument that allows for simultaneous translational and rotational correction with a single-level fusion to spare adjacent healthy vertebrae. The precise and controlled reduction maneuver lowers the risk of inadvertent or potentially damaging movements and potentially minimizes the risk of neurological deficit.

The new animation shows the reduction, stabilization, decompression and interbody fusion of a Grade II spondylolisthesis of L5 onto S1. View the animation at youtube.com/aesculapimplant1

For comprehensive information on the S4 SRI visit aesculapimplantsystems.com/S4SRI.

The S4 SRI is used for reduction of spondylolisthesis or dislocated vertebrae in the region of the lumbar spine. The S4 SRI is indicated for use exclusively with implants of the Aesculap S4 Spinal System.
