Ahlsell divests non-core subsidiary in machine tools, production equipment and machine services
Ahlsell Sverige AB has signed an agreement to divest the subsidiary Ahlsell Maskin AB, an engineering-industry distributor of machine tools, heavy production equipment and machine services.
The company became a part of Ahlsell through the acquisition of Tibnor Industrivaruhus in 2001 and is not considered to be an Ahlsell core business. The company has 26 employees and annual revenues of approximately MSEK 80. Ahlsell Maskin AB will be
acquired by Mekana AB, owners of Bromi Gruppen AB, which is a professional niche distributor of advanced machine tools.
The divestment is expected to be completed in the beginning of December and have only a minor impact on Ahlsell’s earnings.
