Update on the “Askja” exploration well in the North Sea

Det norske oljeselskap ASA has, as partner in PL 272 (25 percent interest), by pressure measurements confirmed the presence of hydrocarbons in exploration well 30/11-9 S on the Askja prospect.

Drilling operations are ongoing and final results are not yet available.

Statoil is the operator of PL 272 with a 50 percent interest. Partners are Det norske (25 percent) and Svenska Petroleum (25 percent).
