New divisional structure – restated financials

Report this content

Alimak Group is today releasing historical restated financial information considering the new divisional structure. The purpose of this release is to facilitate comparability with historical periods.

Following the previously announced reorganisation that forms the base of the New Heights programme, the Group is since January 1, 2021 organised into four customer-centric divisions: BMU, Construction, Industrial and Wind – replacing the current business areas. The subsequent reporting structure is also effective as of January 1, 2021 and will be reported for first time in the Q1 2021 report.

Changed key profitability metric

In connection to the new reporting structure, Alimak Group is changing from EBITA adj. as its key profitability metric for both Group and divisions, to EBITA. EBITA for the Group remains unchanged on a quarterly and full year basis and has previously been reported in addition to EBITA adj.

Segment information restated for new divisions

The restated segment information presented in the table ‘Restatement of Quarterly review per division’ and ‘Restatement of Full Year review per division’ attached hereto encompasses Order Intake, Revenue, EBITA adj., EBITA margin adj., EBITA and EBITA margin restated according to the new divisional structure valid as of 1 January 2021. The information has been restated for the last eight quarters and the last three financial years, respectively.

Presentation of restated historic financials

The restated information has been compiled and presented in accordance with Alimak Group’s accounting policies as described in Alimak Group’s annual report for 2019. The restatements are a proforma estimation and not audited.
