Key Technologies to Support the Maritime Clean Energy Transition Featured at the ABS Singapore Technology Forum

(SINGAPORE) Alternative fuels, vessel design optimization and energy efficiency improvements through electrification led the discussion at the second annual ABS Singapore Technology Forum.
Titled Leveraging Technology for Maritime Energy Transition, more than 150 industry leaders, including representatives from the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore and the Singapore Maritime Institute, attended.

Panelists from across the maritime value chain such as MPA, PaxOcean, Seatrium and ABB discussed challenges and opportunities in the electrification of the maritime industry.
External guest speakers from Rystad Energy, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Tsinghua University covered key topics such as enhancing efficiencies in using ammonia as marine fuel and ongoing developments in the carbon value chain for the maritime industry.
