GOLDHOFER POWERS PETROBAS OIL RIG MOVE

19 April 2012Specialist heavy haulage trailer manufacturer Goldhofer has helped transport a 650-tonne oil-rig platform for Brazilian petroleum giant Petróleo Brasileiro (Petrobas). The giant platform was assembled in the Turkish coastal town of Iskenderun, before being driven to the town’s harbour where it was shipped to the oil-rich Gulf of Iskenderun. Three THP/SL heavy-duty modular trailers were needed to transport the 40 metre long, 25 metre wide and 10 metre high load, which was being moved by Turkish freight-forwarders Ultrans.
