Anders Carlsson will step down as President and CEO for AQ Group during 2021. James Ahrgren appointed as new CEO

The board of AQ Group AB and Anders Carlsson have jointly agreed that Anders Carlsson will leave his role as President and CEO during the spring 2021.

Patrik Nolåker, Chairman of the board of AQ Group, says “I would like to warmly thank Anders Carlsson for his contributions to AQ.  He has strengthened the group structure, improved the profit margin, and increased the operational cashflow during his time as CEO. Not the least, has his performance during the Covid-19 pandemic been exemplary.  He has also laid a foundation for the future from acquisitions and new business.

Anders Carlsson, President and CEO says; “It is a privilege to work with all the fantastic entrepreneurs within the AQ companies.  I am convinced AQ will continue its successful journey and I am fully committed to make the best possible handover to my successor”

James Ahrgren works today as Venture manager at the investment company AB Traction. Prior to that he held various leading positions within AQ Group between 2011-2019 in Sweden and China.  Between 2006 and 2011 he held various leading roles in China within Huber+Suhner and ITT Water and Wastewater. James is a Swedish national, born 1979 with studies from KTH Royal Institute of Technology.

He knows our unique culture and decentralized business model and has a proven track record of growth.  I am convinced that James, together with his co-workers will develop AQ to the next level and to continuous and future successes.

Anders Carlsson will continue in his current role until the start of James Ahrgren latest April 1st 2021, contributing to a smooth transition.
