AQ Plast AB has started negotiations with the unions about its intention to close down the manufacturing site in Vadstena. The background to the change is to improve the competitiveness of AQ Plast AB by having fewer production sites. Production will be moved from Vadstena to Anderstorp and Västerås.

“The site has a long tradition and the technical competence of the employees is high. However, in order to strengthen our long term competitiveness we have to take extraordinary actions”, says Claes Mellgren, CEO of AQ Group.

As a consequence of the change a notice of redundancy will be given for all 32 employees in Vadstena.
