Instead of a reliance on PA/PE-material for their flexible thermoformed applications, Ecoflex® is a recyclable mono PE film that offers comparative mechanical and impact strength.

We were looking for an innovative cartonboard solution, which would allow us to find harmony in the complete “Le Petit Marchand de glaces” range. Our desire was to adapt a box-style casket, easily automated by our packers and guaranteeing all the functionality of an equivalent plastic packaging.
The new ice cream packaging for Picard is one more example of how we challenge the conventional and develop more sustainable solutions without compromising product quality, consumer convenience and industrial efficiency.
This fibre-based packaging can be used for many other products than ice cream too, for example frozen foods and chilled ready meals, and support brand owners to substantially reduce its carbon footprint from packaging.
We have a long experience in the food service sector and now expand our offering with this range of solutions designed for the growing number of home deliveries. The concept meets the needs from not only the restaurant operators and consumers, but also the challenges the distributors have had.

The majority of our product developments are focused on packaging solutions made of renewable materials and which are recyclable. The switch to fibre-based trays for fresh vegetables can be pretty easy with no investments in new production equipment needed.
These new trays are already in use in Germany and they are well suited for a wide range of products such as fresh vegetables & fruits, herbs, mushrooms, seeds and much more.

Being one of the leading wholesalers of sustainable food service packaging we believe it is better to process renewable raw materials than to use finite resources.
